SUMMER READING THURSDAY FUN DAY: Don't be blue!

Throughout Summer Reading time, Thursday Fun Day programs will be held in the Library's side parking lot at the corner of 16th and Eoff Streets (across from Wheeling Clinic). Families may stop in and participate in the weekly program while social distancing and wearing masks. Parking will only be available in the main parking lot or on the street. 

WEEK OF JUNE 28-JULY 2: Don't be BLUE!

Join us in our Eoff Street parking lot for this week's Thursday Fun Day! Let's get read for Independence Day! Join us for a Story Walk of Red, White, and Boom! by Lee Wardlaw and illustrated by Huy Voun Lee. The Story Walk will be displayed through July 5. 

Book Synopsis: It's the Fourth of July — Travel across the country for a city parade, a beach picnic, and fireworks in the park in this poetic celebration of the many cultures and traditions that make America's birthday BOOM!

SUMMER READING 2021: Reading Colors Your World!

Celebrate the joy of reading with us this summer with our Summer Reading Program, "Reading Colors Your World." Log points for each minute of reading read between Monday, June 7, and Saturday, July 17, 2021. We will have virtual Toddler Time, Story Time, and Story and Activity programs online and will also have in-person programs both here at the Library and at local parks. Registration for the Summer Reading Program begins June 7. Participants young and old can register in person at the Library or online at ohiocountylibrary.readsquared.com.

Reading Colors Your World! Friday Story Times in the Park

In-person Story Times for Summer Reading will also be held each Friday at the Stifel playground at Wheeling Park between June 11 and July 16, weather permitting. Masks and social distancing are required. Story Times in the Park will start a 2 pm and will include songs and story with puppets.

Story VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING FOR SUMMER READING 2021: Reading Colors Your World!

Toddler Time Online broadcasts at 10:30 am on Mondays,  Story Time Online broadcasts at 10 am on Tuesdays, and our Story and Activity programs broadcast at 12 pm on Wednesdays. Live broadcasts can be viewed either on the OCPL Kids! Youtube channel or the Ohio County Public Library Facebook page. Subscribe to our YouTube channel or like us on Facebook to received notifications of our upcoming live broadcasts or download our free OCPL Connect app from your smartphone's app store (available for both iPhones and Android devices). All videos will be available for playback following our broadcasts and viewable on the Story Time Online Page.
