Don yer kilt and join the OCPL players for a celebration of all things Robert Burns, featuring the music of Faire May, food — including the infamous haggis and vegan haggis — stories, poems, general merriment, and a group singing of Auld Lang Syne. Robert Burns (1759 –1796), is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland, a pioneer of the Romantic movement, and a cultural icon in Scotland and among the Scottish diaspora. “Burns Night” is celebrated on the poet’s birthday, 25 January, with Burns suppers around the world. This will be our first Burns Lunch (with Books).
