Olympic athlete Amy Gamble will discuss some of the groundbreaking women of sports, including Babe Didrikson Zaharias (Track & Field / Golf), Althea Gibson (Tennis/Golf), Wilma Rudolph (Track & Field), Billie Jean King (Tennis), as well as Wheeling's own Rose Gacioch (baseball) and many others.


Amy Gamble's journey began on the basketball court, leading her to represent the United States as a 1988 Olympian (handball) and compete at the highest levels of sport. In the world of elite athletics, she learned about discipline, mental toughness, teamwork, and performing under pressure. She earned Master's in Organizational Management and a Bachelor's in Communication, then spent nearly two decades in sales, marketing, and leadership roles within corporate America. Today, Amy is a writer, speaker, and wellness educator. As a Certified Personal Medicine Coach, speaker, and facilitator, she combines lived experience with practical, evidence-informed wellness education. She is the author of "Unsilenced, Everyday Resilience, and Bipolar Disorder: My Biggest Competitor" and the "Champions of Resilience" series. Her latest book is called "Driving My Way Through Grief: Essays on Loss, Life, and the Miles Between." Amy has a podcast called Beyond the Arc.
