Pysanky are traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs decorated using a wax-resist (batik) method, where intricate designs are "written" on raw eggs with beeswax using a tool called a kistka, then dyed in layers from light to dark. The wax acts as a sealant, preserving colors underneath, and is removed at the end to reveal vibrant, symbolic patterns.
This program takes place in the OCPL Harold E Vitalie Auditorium and is designed for adults.
As always, this program is free to attendees.
