It's October - time to get ready for HALLOWEEN! Our theme for the fourth week of October is Happy Halloween!
Story Time programs introduce young children to books, rhymes, songs, crafts, and other fun activities. Library Story Time incorporates the early literacy skills that children must master before they can learn to read. Story Times are designed for children 3-5 years old, though all ages are welcome. The program lasts approximately 45 minutes and caregivers are asked to participate with their children. Story Time is held in the Children's Department. This fall, Story Time will also be broadcast online, live, on Tuesdays at 10 am (see below for details).

Today's Story Time: Happy Halloween! Today we will read Halloween Night and have a Halloween party. Make sure to wear your Halloween costume to Story Time!
Today's Book: Halloween Night by Elizabeth Hatch; illustrated by Jimmy Pickering.
Book Synopsis: A cumulative rhyme about what various creatures, from a mouse to a child, do on Halloween night. They all come out on this Halloween night—a diving bat, a hooting owl, an inky black cat, a ghost-costumed child, a regular old dog—and each one contributes to a chain of events that transforms a little mouse.
