It's December and we're ready to have a BEARY MERRY CHRISTMAS! Join us for some holiday Toddler Time fun.
Based on the "Mother Goose on the Loose" program, Toddler Time is a fun-filled thirty-minute interactive program that uses rhymes, songs, puppets, musical instruments, and more to stimulate the learning process of babies and toddlers. It is a proven method for planning and presenting programs that focus on the whole child.
Join us for this special program most Monday and Friday mornings at 10:30 AM in the library auditorium. Toddler Time is held in the auditorium on the lower level of the Library (view Library map). This fall and winter, Toddler Time will also be broadcast online, live, on Mondays at 10:30 am (see below for details).

Today's Toddler Time: For this Berry Merry Toddler Time, we will read a book about a bear who waited up for Santa.
Today's Book: I've Seen Santa! by David Bedford ; illustrated by Tim Warnes.
Book Synopsis: It's Christmas Eve and Little Bear can't wait for Santa to come! Big Bear slides down the chimney to reassure Little Bear that Santa will be able fit while Mommy Bear sets out milk and a snack for Santa. But Little Bear doesn't want to go to bed, he wants to see Santa! After catching Big Bear drinking Santa's milk and eating one of Santa's snacks, Little Bear really can't get to sleep and both he and Big Bear decide to hide downstairs to wait for Santa. Now, it's Mommy Bear who gets caught putting a present in each of their stockings, so all three bears decide to wait up for Santa. Will Little Bear ever see Santa?

The "Mother Goose on the Loose" program helps children develop skills for success in a classroom. It helps children acquire a rich vocabulary and strengthens foundational reading skills. MGOL gives children opportunities to practice turn-taking, direction following, paying attention and showing appreciation to others. The age-appropriate listening, moving, and singing that takes place in MGOL exercises fine and gross motor skills, fosters speech development, keeps children’s interest for an extended period of time, gives children opportunities to make scientific observations regarding cause and effect, and provides a joyful introduction to the world of books and reading.
