All programs normally held at the Library are cancelledled until further notice.

Due to concerns over the potential spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Ohio County Public Library is closed, effective Sunday, March 15, 2020. The announcement comes after discussions between the OCPL Board of Trustees and OCPL Director, Dottie Thomas.

"Along with federal, state, and local agencies, the Ohio County Public Library has been closely monitoring the evolving situation involving COVID-19," said Director Dottie Thomas. "The safety and well-being of our staff and patrons are our primary concern, and we believe that closing the libraries at this time is the best way to meet that goal."

Starting June 1, 2020, OPCL will start accepting book returns. All late fees on Library materials will be waived for the duration of our closure and fines will not accrue on late materials. While the Library will remained closed to the public, curbside service will begin June 8, 2020.

All events, classes, tests, and public meeting room reservations are cancelleded until further notice.

All events, classes, and public meeting room reservations are cancelled until further notice. However, some Lunch With Books presenters are offering to live-stream their lectures from home over the Lunch With Books Facebook page and the LWB YouTube Channel. Check the Lunch With Books Facebook events page for more details. Story Time and Toddler Time are now being offered online as well through YouTube and Facebook

We encourage you to frequently check for updates on this rapidly changing public health issue via our website, our smartphone app (OCPL Connect – available on iPhones and Android devices), and our Facebook page.
