Carnegie Museum of Natural History Tour Marks End of People’s University Series

A group of People's University Dinosaur series attendees had the opportunity to go behind-the-scenes at Carnegie Museum of Natural History on Thursday, September 8, 2022. The tour was a memorable experience for patrons who had attended the most classes from the eight week series.

The tour, which was offered free of charge , was attended by some library patrons who had never toured the renowned museum. This behind-the-scenes tour would be especially memorable as attendees would have the opportunity to hold actual dinosaur fossils, go into dinsaur fossil storage areas at the museum, and talk with museum workers who help assemble and replicate fossils for exhibit.

Seen here in his official People's University Dinosaurs tee-shirt, paleontologist Dr. Matthew Lamanna led the museum tour.

The Ohio County Public Library wishes to thank Dr. Matthew  Lamanna (right) paleontolgist and principal dinosaur researcher of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History for the incredible tour!
