OCPL Kids Summer Reading Program Conclusion

Thanks to everyone who participated in our 2016 “On Your Mark, Get Set... READ!” Summer Reading Program. We had 235 children pick up summer reading activity books and countless activity books downloaded from our website.          

We would also like to thank our program presenters for this summer, Joanna Demarest, Daniel Caron, Denise O’Brien, and Tim Thompson.

The three grand prize winners were:

• Jaela Agnew who won a Kid's Kindle Fire
• Jensen Tyo who won a waterproof digital camera
• Aidan King who won a Kidizoom action camera

In addition to the Grand Prize winners, other prizes were given to other participants. The prizes included:

• Ten Summer Reading Program t-shirts
• Nine $5.00 off coupons for Dominos Pizza
• Five one-year subscriptions to National Geographic's Kids Magazine
• Ten Summer Reading Program book bags
• Ten Summer Reading water bottles

The Finale Pool Party was held on August 1 at Wheeling Park Pool with 81 children and adults in attendance. Anyone who was unable to attend the Finale Pool Party will be contacted by phone if they won a prize so that arrangements can be made to pick up their prize at the library.
