OCPL Operates as Drop-Off Site for Wheeling Military Banner Applications

The Ohio County Public Library is proud to be one of three host locations throughout Wheeling participating in The Military Banner Tribute Program. This program aims to honor those men and women of our community who served their country. Through community nominations, the program salutes veterans by creating and displaying military banners in various locations within the City. The community is invited to submit friends, family, and neighbors, who have served or are currently serving.

The application drop-off box can be found by the library’s reference desk. Applications can be accessed online, with hard copies available at the library. In addition, a quality military photograph is required. There is a one-time cost to participate in the program of $125. This includes a 24” x 36” double-sided banner; the bracket and mounting for the banner to be displayed; and a web presence on the Wheeling Military Banner Tribute website.
