The Ohio County Public Library recognizes an obligation to amass and make available a Local History Collection. The Ohio County Public Library's Archives houses a substantial collection of materials related to Wheeling and Ohio County history. Over 3000 images from these collections have been digitized and uploaded to our Flickr account. You can use the search box below to look for images through our Flickr account.

Digital copies of images in the Ohio County Public Library's archival collections are free to use in publication. In general, it is the recipient’s obligation to determine and satisfy copyright or other use restrictions (such as donor restrictions, privacy rights, publicity rights, licensing and trademarks) when using, publishing, or otherwise distributing materials received from OCPL. Those wishing to use an OCPL image in a publication may obtain permission to do so in one of the two ways below:
